I started my journey with photography as a student at the Reigate School of Art and Design, working with a battered old film camera, before moving to Cornwall to study Fine Art at Falmouth University.
Instead of following the more traditional route of painting, my degree led me to a lifelong passion for photography. In my 20s, I became a primary school teacher (regularly taking the opportunity to teach basic photography to my pupils!) and I continued photography as a hobby.
Having progressed through my career and reaching headship, I decided to revisit my abiding love of photography and I am now lucky enough to work as a wedding photographer and concert photographer.

“We really enjoyed meeting with you prior and on the day itself.
All communication has been wholly professional and positive. You really captured the day well and it was so lovely to have you around.
I particularly enjoyed the photos of my festival-trained friends camping out the rain during their picnic. Marietje loved the shots highlighting the orange flowers during the ceremony.”

I have worked with Gareth Parker now for over a year now.
Gareth does all my professional sports photography at all my events. As an experienced runner myself I am fully aware that sportsmen and women like to achieve their personal goals at my events, and it takes much dedication to achieve a high level of sporting fitness.
This is the reason that I have selected Gareth to photograph my runners, which he does using geo-tagging techniques within 24hrs of the event being staged, and his photography encapsulates the very essence of athleticism. The photographs taken are professionally done, they are sharp and really express the runners' tenacity in total focus.
Gareth is a great guy, and my runners are always complimentary about their sports photography that he does so professionally well.
